Alongside his desire to perform, Richard has a passion for teaching. Over the last few years he has worked with the award-winning Bloomington Expressive Arts Training Program as an assistant director, arranger, vocal coach, and keyboardist. 

He is also the co-director of the Fairview Elementary School Showchoir (2016-2017) - an arts initiative based on the Artful Learning Philosophy by Leonard Bernstein. 

Richard serves as an adjudicator/clinician for festivals and competitions around the country, as well as teach private voice and piano lessons.
